Intel's Xeon Phi vector coprocessor codenamed Knights Corner has its own instruction set, which is very similar to the forthcoming AVX512 instruction set, but not compatible with it. A version of the vector class library for the Knights Corner has been developed by Przemysław Karpiński at CERN. The code is available at bitbucket.org/veclibknc/vclknc The forthcoming successor of Knights Corner - codenamed Knights Landing - will use the AVX512 instruction set. It is expected to work with the main version of the vector class library rather than with the Knights Corner branch. |
